Oklahoma City Thunder come from behind to outclass the Memphis Grizzlies

Oklahoma City rallied from a 13-point fourth quarter deficit and stole a 99-95 victory over the Grizzlies on Sunday night at Chesapeake Energy Arena. Playing without All-Star forward Paul George for the third straight game, the Thunder looked lost for much of the night. Russell Westbrook helped them find their way in the end.

George missed the game with shoulder soreness, his third straight missed contest. The Thunder entered having lost four games in a row for the first time since beginning the season 0-4. The Grizzlies played without star point guard Mike Conley, who sat with general soreness. But they looked cohesive and efficient, until it mattered most.

Less than six minutes after the Grizzlies (25-40) led by 13, Westbrook tied the game at 93 with 1:04 remaining by hitting a 3-pointer from the left wing. Then, he gave the Thunder (39-24) a 95-93 lead with 31.9 seconds left on a pull-up jumper. Delon Wright missed an open 3-pointer from the right corner with 22 seconds left that would have put the Grizzlies ahead by a point, and the Thunder hit their late free-throws to escape with a win.

A road win on the second night of a back-to-back would have been a welcome jolt for the Grizzlies' hopes of finishing outside the bottom eight of the NBA standings. Instead, it was a deflating loss.
