Australian Open 2022: Round of 64 Review
Novak Djokovic withdrawing from the Australian Open creates chances for new talents to win the grand slam.
The Round of 64 at the Australian Open got over with some big players and names winning and losing.
Just before the start of round 1, Novak Djokovic was withdrawn from the Australian Open. His competitors like Daniil Medvedev, Alexander Zverev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray all of them proceeded to the next round which is Round of 32.
However, we saw some players like Lorenzo Musetti, David Goffin, Fabio Fognini, Marton Fucsovics, Kevin Anderson losing and getting knocked out in the 1st round itself.
In the women’s category of Round 64 we witnessed some great encounters. Players like Ashleigh Barty, Belinda Bencic, Naomi Osaka, Maria Sakkari, Barbora Krejcikova, Jelena Ostapenko, Aryna Sabalenka won and will play in the round of 32.
There were shocking exits for players like Sofia Kenin, Cori Gauff, Caroline Garcia who won't make it to the next round.
