2022 was the year of Suryakumar Yadav, India's best T20I batsman at the moment and the number 1 ranked T20I batsman. The 32 year hit the most amount of sixes in a calendar year- 59, overtaking Muhammad Waseem and Mohammad Rizwan, who hit 43 and 42 sixes respectively.

4) Fastest double century in ODI's- 126 balls
At the third ODI in India's tour of Bangladesh, Ishan Kishan went all guns blazing to score the fastest double century in ODIs- 126 balls. The 24-year-old hit 24 boundaries and 10 sixes in this historic knock.
The previous record was held by Chris Gayle, who reached his double century in 138 deliveries.

5) Most runs scored on the first day of a Cricket Test match- 506 runs
On an absolutely flat pitch in Rawalpindi, England scored the most runs on the first day of a test match- 506 runs. England's top order, consisting of Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope, and Ben Duckett scored a century each to help England break this record. The previous record was held by Australia, who scored 482 runs against South Africa in Adelaide in 2012.
6) Highest partnership for any wicket in T20 World Cups- 170 runs
Chasing 168 in 20 overs in the semi-final of the T20 World Cup, Alex Hales and Jos Buttler made a mockery of the Indian bowling line-up, finishing the game with 24 balls left. The two openers stitched the highest partnership in a T20 World Cup, scoring 170 runs for the first wicket. The previous record was held by Rillee Rossouw and Quinton De Kock, who stitched 168 runs against Bangladesh earlier in the super 12.
