Jadon Sancho could possibly choose the Etihad over Old Trafford
Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho would consider a return to Manchester City if he fails to seal a deal with the Red Devils.
Manchester United and Dortmund are locked in a stand-off over the potential value of Sancho as the German side feel that he coronavirus outbreak should not impact his value, while United want it to be with £100 million.
Sancho is eager to become a part of the Premier League this summer but a move to United is yet to be finalized and his chance to move are getting slim as Chelsea are focusing on Timo Werner and others while Liverpool are unlikely to spend much in the summer.
Manchester City though could become a possible option for the youngster. As per reports from The Sun, Sancho would be open to a return to the Etihad Stadium. Spending heavily on a single player will not be Pep’s plan but things could change if Leroy Sane accepts a move to Bayern Munich.
City are planning the German to let go for a value close to £63 million. Bayern have been reluctant about it as of now but any sale for the Citizens would boost their transfer budget this summer. Sancho’s move to City also depends on the verdict of the Court of Arbitration for Sport as City are currently going through a two-year Champions League ban which, if upheld, would open the gates for Sancho.
Manchester United, however, remain in the driver’s seat for Sancho and both the teams feel that a deal will eventually get over the line but too much delay could change the ending. Manchester United have been linked to Jack Grealish as well and the Aston Villa skipper would certainly cost less.
As things stand, there has to be clarity provided by either of the clubs and it is expected from the Red Devils as Premier League edges return in a couple of days.
