Juventus to battle Real Madrid for Bundesliga sensation

Serie A giants Juventus are looking to hijack Real Madrid's attempts to sign Erling Haaland by plotting a £67 million move for the Borussia Dortmund sensation, according to reports.

The Italian giants are looking to bolster their attack and are now targeting the 19-year-old Norwegian wonderkid in a stunning swoop.

As per reports in Italy, Maurizio Sarri's side are desperate to land the teenager next year and are set to compete with Real Madrid for his signature. That is despite reports suggesting that Haaland turned the Old Lady down last year because, despite a reasonable contract offer, they were only willing to put him in the Under-23s.

They look set to lose Gonzalo Higuain in the coming months and therefore the young Norwegian would make a suitable long-term solution. Haaland only joined Borussia Dortmund in January in a £17 million deal from Red Bull Salzburg and is believed to be not much keen on a move right now.

He has taken to the Bundesliga by storm with 13 goals in his first 13 appearances for Lucien Favre's side and has become one of the most coveted footballers in the globe.

It is understood he does have a release clause in his Borussia Dortmund contract with comes into effect in the summer of 2021, potentially making him available for a tempting, low price tag.

However, Juventus face strong competition for his signature with Real Madrid and a lot of other top clubs also looking for him. Should the Bianconeri miss out on him, the report adds they could instead turn to Napoli's Arkadiusz Milik who is a proven forward in Serie A.

Real Madrid are right now the clear favourites to land Haaland despite his contract at Dortmund running until 2024. Los Blancos are plotting a third Galactico era and want Haaland to team up with Kylian Mbappe to spearhead their attack.

A number of Premier League clubs are also showing interest in the teenage sensation. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wanted to bring his compatriot to Old Trafford this season but the youngster opted for a move to Germany instead.

Manchester United, though, are likely to go back in for him at the next opportunity whereas clubs like Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City are also keeping close tabs on the wonderkid.
