Paul Pogba's dream transfer to Real Madrid to become a reality?

Paul Labile Pogba started his professional footballing career with the local youth team of Ligue 1 side, Le Havre. After some eye-catching performances, he was bought by Manchester United in 2009.

After making only three appearances for the club, Pogba went to the Italian giants, Juventus, on a free transfer in 2012. From being a nobody at Old Trafford, Pogba became a key part of a Juventus side that won four consecutive scudettos.

The Frenchman was also named in the 2015 UEFA Team of the Year and 2015 FIFA FIFPRO World XI before joining Manchester United for a then world record transfer fee of £89.3 million. In his first season with Jose Mourinho, he helped Manchester United win their first Europa League title in 2017. Pogba also won the league cup with the squad.

From the next season onwards, a rift between Pogba and the former United boss Jose Mourinho arose. Almost everyday, there was a headline about the Frenchman not being on good terms with the Manchester United staff. Most of the times, he was mocked for his changing hairstyles.

Then came the rumours! He was and is currently linked with Spanish giants Real Madrid after their boss Zinedine Zidane showed interest in signing the Frenchman.

More fuel was added to the fire when Paul Pogba openly shared his desire to play for Real Madrid in an interview.

Despite showing improvement under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, due to Manchester United’s poor form towards the end of the 2018-19 season, the Real Madrid rumors started to gain more steam as the Spanish team also signed Eden Hazard, who had previously shown interest in playing for the club. There was this other part of speculations where the Solskjaer, in an interview, told the media that Pogba is staying at the club.

In the 2019-20 season, Pogba has made less than 10 appearances in all competitions and with the January transfer window not so far away, rumours have started circulating again. Is a move to Madrid on the cards for the World Cup winning Frenchman?
