Real Madrid might miss out on French starlet as PSG and Bayern enter transfer race

As far as the transfer market is concerned, Real Madrid plays a stellar role in bringing the right players to strengthen their team. Last season around, the Los Blancos spent around €300 million and they bought the likes of Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic, Ferland Mendy, Eder Militao, and Rodrygo.

But they had mixed results as both Hazard and Jovic were not performing to their highest levels. Whereas, the other three had a decent season. Injuries have been a major problem for the Whites and they have looked at every possible way to avoid it.

In addition to the replacements, they've signed before, the club hierarchy is looking out for a pure defensive midfielder who could replace Casemiro in the future. The 28-year old's contribution to the team has been immense in the recent seasons.

Eduardo Camavinga, a 17-year old player from Ligue 1 Club Rennes was identified as a potential successor. The French teenager of Angolan descent put some brilliant performances on the pitch, which in turn caught the attention of manager Zinedine Zidane.

The youngster has been described as a tenacious and hard-working prospect, who could play deep in midfield. Initially, The Vikings were the sole favorites to get the player's signature. But with the impending coronavirus crisis, the club had shifted its attention towards renovating their stadium.

Now, this has hugely impacted Madrid's finances and according to Marca, the transfer plans for the next season are up in the air. Just a few days earlier, President Florentino Perez confirmed that the club is not going to make any marquee signings.

With Real Madrid out of the race, other European giants such as Paris St. Germain and Bayern Munich are looking to get the player by all means. But, Rennes are not willing to let off Camavinga for anything less than 80 million.

The situation has completely changed and the player has been considering signing for either of the two clubs other than Madrid who have reportedly scrapped all their transfer plans.

Eduardo's agent Moussa Sissoko has also revealed that his client would not wait until the right offer arrives from the Los Meringues, thereby alerting rival cubs to strike a deal.
