Real Madrid 'making things difficult' for Welsh superstar Gareth Bale

Real Madrid star Gareth Bale's fallout with Zinedine Zidane is well known. The Welshman has now openly complained regarding the club’s treatment of him. Bale also revealed that he considers making a comeback in the Premier League but Real Madrid are responsible for jeopardizing his departure.

The Wales international just made 20 appearances for Los Blancos in all competitions and asked to be left out of the squad to face Manchester City in last month’s Champions League last-16 second leg. Bale was very close to moving away to the Chinese Super League but Real Madrid pulled the plug on a deal at the 11th hour.

Bale was also linked with Manchester United several times but nothing was concrete. Currently, Bale is also been linked to his former club Tottenham, where he could play under his former manager Jose Mourinho. Bale admitted that he felt very troubled when he was not granted a move away from the Spanish Capital.

While talking to Sky Sports, he said, “I tried to leave last year but they blocked everything at the last second. It was a project I was excited for but it didn’t materialize. There have been other instances where we have tried to go but the club won’t allow it or they’ve done something. It’s down to the club. I want to play football, I am still motivated to play football, so I guess it’s on the club. They are in control of everything”

Bale also said that he still feels confident about his shape and fitness and he has several years left to be in the game. “It’s in the club’s hands but they make things very difficult, to be honest.” When asked about a return to the English top-flight he said, “If those options arise, it’s something I’d look at for sure.”

Bale is currently gearing up to be a part of the Wales squad and is expected to feature in the games against Finland and Bulgaria as part of the UEFA Nations League games.
