India won a thriller against Pakistan in their first match of the T20 World Cup, beating the arch-rivals by 4 wickets. With the absence of Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja, India's bowling seemed to be an issue but the bowling trio of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh, and Hardik Pandya proved the critics wrong. India seemed to have all the boxes ticked, Except for their top order, which is yet to fire. If the top order play to their fullest ability, the Indian team can go all the way in the T20 World Cup.

3) Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka came into this T20 World Cup with all the momentum in the world when they topped their group in the group stage. They also started their super 12 campaign with a bang when they defeated Ireland by 9 wickets. Sri Lanka have the leading run-scorer and wicket-taker of the T20 World Cup in their squad- Kusal Mendis (171) and Wanindu Hasaranga (9). It will be interesting to see how Sri Lanka fare against the Test-playing nations.

4) England

England looked the most balanced side coming into the T20 World Cup. At their first match against Afghanistan, England's bowling attack fired and got them all out for 112. A chase that should have been a walk in the park, was made into a mess by the England batsman.

The white ball giants did not look like their usual selves and were looking sluggish. The top order failed to get going and the middle order came to the rescue and avoided a humiliating loss. If England have to go all the way in the T20 WC 2022, they have to tick all the boxes and for that to happen, the batting must fire.
