AC Milan vs Chelsea Head to Head
Last week’s meeting in London was only the third time these two teams have met in competitive football with Chelsea’s win being the first win for either side. Goals from Wesley Fofana, Pierre-Emerick Emiliano, and Reece James guided the home team to a 3-0 win.
On previous two occasions, the affairs ended in stalemate as the clash in September 1999 at Stamford Bridge ended goalless while in October 1999 they drew 1-1. On the latter occasion, an Oliver Bierhoff goal in the 74th minute was canceled out in three minutes as Dennis Wise equalized in the 77th minute.

AC Milan vs Chelsea Domestic Form
AC Milan had former Chelsea player Fikayo Tomori and Brahim Diaz on target as they got the better of Juventus on the weekend. The defending Italian champions are currently fourth in the table, three behind league leaders Napoli. So far this season they have won six matches and drawn two alongside a defeat to Napoli.
Chelsea on the weekend had a smooth passage as they beat Wolves 3-0 at home to mark a good start under new manager Graham Potter. Currently, the Blues are enjoying a revival of their own and have won five and drawn one. With key fixtures to come in the coming weeks, Chelsea will have to maintain a good balance between the team and rotate the squad.
AC Milan vs Chelsea I Group Stage so far
A lot will hinge on the result in San Siro as this will be the first head-to-head contest between the sides that could have bearings at the end of the group stage. If Chelsea wins they will fancy their chances of qualification to the knockouts while a defeat could mean otherwise. As things stand, only two points separate all the teams.
A win for AC Milan will put them back in contention for the second spot. However, with minimal margin for error on offer, this will be a tough task for either side as they march towards the knockouts.
