Gareth Bale set to make a comeback in October, confirms Mourinho
Gareth Bale to Spurs was one of the most discussed signings this transfer window and a big reason for it was the issues Bale had with Real Madrid.
Bale as quoted by his agent, is the best player from Britain to have achieved so much in Spain. This is barely questionable as Bale had a tremendous career until news about his injuries and issues with Zinedine Zidane started to take over his career progress.
As far as Spurs are concerned, they will have to wait until October to see Bale in action in the Premier League as he is currently sustaining a knee injury. However, Mourinho is convinced that the player’s will to become a regular member of the Spurs squad is helping him recover faster.
Mourinho confirmed that Bale is already ahead of schedule and the reason is the ambition and motivation to play for a club he loves. It was seven years ago when Bale left Spurs for a then world-record fee, all set to win trophies and prove himself as one of the best players in the world.
Although he witnessed great success, winning four Champions League titles and a lot more, it’s been quite a while that Bale was seen making the headlines for his performances instead of controversies.
The winger was injured in the recent international break but is willing to get back as soon as he can. When Jose Mourinho was asked about it, he said, “I don’t know when Gareth can be back. I only know the motivation is high because he is so happy to be with the club of his heart. We want to help him, so when he is available to train with the team, we are more than happy to have him and help to be back to a level that may be one of the best players in the world.”
Spurs were about to play their EFL Cup fixture against Leyton Orient this week but due to certain members and staff of Leyton contracting the virus, the fixture will be delayed.
