Thiago Silva wants to win everything within his reach at Chelsea

Thiago Silva was one of the coveted signings for Chelsea this season and the Blues have not stopped. There are still in the market as Eduard Mendy is very close to becoming a Chelsea player. 

one of the new signings, defender Thiago Silva has claimed that winning silverware is his main ambition for arrival at Stamford Bridge. 

People bid farewell to the Brazilian player as he moved away from PSG and his transfer to Chelsea was seen as a final stint before retirement. However, Silva revealed that just like many examples in the sport, he is one of them who believes age is just a number and feels that he still has a lot more to offer.

The centre-back turned 36 on Tuesday and his deal with the Blues is a one-year deal with the option of a further 12 months. Silva is very keen to play his part in the English top-flight for the very first time but he possesses the motivation of achieving much more than just experience in the high-profile competition.

While talking to Chelsea’s website, he said, “The way I see it, it is the toughest league in the world, with six or seven big teams in serious competition for the title so the motivation is massive. What motivates me, day by day, is the hunger to win, to win everything within my reach. Coming to the Premier League, my main goal is to win the league title and I’m certain that we’ll be fighting for that every step of the way.”

He also praised the club for everything they’ve won in the past and was very happy with the way some of the seniors and juniors have treated him at the club. He also spoke about how apart from winning trophies, he is also here to show that the Chelsea boss did not invest in the wrong player and he is willing to do everything it takes to help Chelsea achieve immense glory.
