World No.1 Novak Djokovic has had dominant straight-set victories since the beginning of his quest for the French Open championship.
Defeating Yoshitohito Nishioka, Alex Molcan, Aljaz Bedene and Diego Schwartzman on his way to the finals, Djokovic has booked his spot in the quarter-finals.
Since his victory at the Italian Open, the Serb’s performance looks to be in total command and is yet to drop a set at the tournament.
"Of course, we know each other well. We have a lot of history together," Nadal said of Djokovic. "I am going to be focused, I will try my best. I don't know what will happen but I will fight until the end."
Rafael Nadal on the other hand had to battle against Canadian youngster Felix Auger-Aliassime in the fourth round in a blockbuster five-setter. Nadal’s match on Sunday saw a number of unforced errors in the first set. Although his Canadian opponent won the fourth set, Nadal dug deep to prevail in the fifth set to win 3-6, 6-3, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3.
